My wife and I are doing something we haven’t done since our 20s: Going to a live concert on a Tuesday when we have to work the next morning... If you don’t like this music, I’m afraid we can’t be friends.

Also my wife got the job she interviewed for over a month ago. She starts Monday.

We tried to go see them a few years ago when they were just starting to get big but tickets were like $100 at a small venue. I’ve wanted to see them ever since, have fun!

You’re going to see the Night Sweats? Cool! I was at a car show once and saw Rateliff doing a Kia spot on a big screen with the Hamsters. It was weird. Anyway, have fun and congrats to your wife.

Thanks! I think I’m going to bite the bullet and pay the full $48/apiece for Frank Turner next month because they ran out of the $20 all-in tickets quickly.

Never heard it before. Now I love it.

This is about as American as it gets — bluegrass, soul, rock, jazz, country elements all in one.

Best show I’ve seen in a long time was a random performance at Dollywood theme park last month — mostly bluegrass, but each of the artists was an accomplished solo or studio musician in their own right. A supergroup, basically.

It was 37 degrees, the park was empty, and there were 5 people in the audience. They still tore it up.

Super jealous! I wanted to see them last year at Rock the Garden but it was the same weekend as my wedding soooo... I need to start looking into when he will be in Minnesota again.
